A timely 150 from Greg Mail helped steady the Sydney University ship against Penrith last weekend and provide the Students with a much-needed win and the first innings points that came with it.

Sydney University all-rounder Greg Matthews became just the fourth player in the long history of the Sydney Grade Cricket competition to take 500 first grade and 500 first class wickets when he bagged 3-24 in Penrith’s second innings at University No.1 on Saturday.

Universities Women’s Cricket Club will meet Bankstown in the final of the Sydney Women’s Grade competition after comprehensively accounting for Sydney in their semi-final at the weekend.
