Another week and another win has moved Sydney University Reserve Grade into the grand final of the Sydney AFL Second Division.
The Students accounted for Pennant Hills 12.9: 81 to 8.13: 61 in their preliminary final at Henson Park on Saturday and will now meet East Coast Eagles in the end-of-season showdown.
But Sydney University will need to be at their very best to account for East Coast, who triumphed 73-50 in the first round and 91-59 in their second round clash.
However, Sydney University have been on song in the second half of the competition and travelled through the final series with a 100-56 win over St George in the elimination qualifying final and a 97-56 win over UNSW-Eastern Suburbs in their semi-final, before accounting for Pennant Hills on Saturday.
The Students were always in control against Pennant Hills, with Benjamin Fletcher, Chris Walsh, Roland Wood, Roland Stokes and Tony Ly each bagging two goals, and Mark Stewart and Leigh McWhirter kicking one apiece.
So, all roads will lead to Henson Park on Saturday, when the Reserves grand finals will kick off at noon.
