We are seeking a motivated and organised Competitions Manager to join our Marketing & Programs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, promoting, developing, and implementing a range of competitions and programs that enhance student and community participation in sports. These include Social Netball and Lunchtime Social Sport Competitions, Intramural Competition and the High Performance Basketball Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Netball Competition: Oversee the smooth operation of netball competitions, including generating draws, recruiting and rostering umpires, handling logistics, and providing excellent customer service to all teams in the competition.
- High-Performance Basketball Program: Develop and implement a program for nurturing talented basketball players, managing UBL teams, and collaborating with the Elite Athlete Program to provide resources and encouragement for Elite Athlete Program members.
- Intramural Competitions: Coordinate and manage sports events between the University of Sydney’s residential colleges and the wider community.
- Lunchtime Social Sport Competitions: Promote and manage weekday social sports, handling logistics, venue bookings, recruiting and rostering referees, and ensuring revenue targets are met.
- General Administration: Assist with budgeting, operational planning and reporting, and participate in event promotions at special events.

About the role

Focus in on technical and skill development in all 4 strokes. You will be required to regularly monitor your swimmers to ensure attendance and positive skill development over the term.

Sydney Uni Tennis is looking for both casual and part time tennis coaches, with opportunity to increase one’s responsibility as the program develops. The club has recently come under new management and is seeking to substantially expand its junior and adult membership base and there are clear career benefits for those able to play a key role in assisting this growth.
The role of on offer would require capacity to run junior group and private lessons and adult group and private lessons. When coaching you will bring passion to every lesson and show determination to teach every student to perform to the best of their capability. You should have a commitment to working with the club over the long term to create a large tournament player contingent and loyal adult community.
