Hours: Tues-Fri (12-5 PM) & Sat (9 AM-6 PM) + monthly board meeting (last Thursday, 6:30-9:30 PM)

About the Club:
Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club (SULTC), established in 1885, is one of the university’s oldest sports institutions. It offers eight outdoor courts and promotes tennis for all skill levels through social play, competitions, and student representation in elite programs.
Role Overview:
The Sports Club Operations Administrator will coordinate daily club operations, reporting to the Assistant Secretary. This includes managing membership services, events, and communications while ensuring smooth club activities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee daily club operations, including court access and member services.
– Assist with planning and running events (e.g., Welcome Week stall).
– Manage member communications and inquiries.
– Maintain membership and activity records.
– Collaborate with SULTC’s board, SUSF, and Tennis NSW.
– Manage merchandise and beverage sales.
– Ensure the clubhouse and grounds are well-presented.
– Prepare weekly task reports and improvement suggestions.
Qualifications:
– 2+ years in an administrative or coordination role.
– Strong organisational and communication skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
– Interest in sports desirable.
– Positive, friendly attitude and ability to work independently.

Swim Australia/ AUSTSWIM Certificate or Recognition of Prior learning of an overseas qualification is required. Flexible hours are available. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad scope of programs including community (from 3 years), schools, international watersafe and holiday intensives. Opportunity also exists for administrative and supervisory roles.
Training for the right non-experienced candidate will be considered.

Remuneration

Development Coach
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic junior development coach who can embrace our positive swim culture, providing high quality swim coaching to age group swimmers (10-16 years) at local and area level.
Sydney Uni Swimming fosters an inclusive and positive, training culture in which every swimmer feels valued and important to the squad.
Focus in on technical and skill development in all 4 strokes. You will be required to regularly monitor your swimmers to ensure attendance and positive skill development over the term.

Sydney Uni Tennis is looking for both casual and part time tennis coaches, with opportunity to increase one’s responsibility as the program develops. The club has recently come under new management and is seeking to substantially expand its junior and adult membership base and there are clear career benefits for those able to play a key role in assisting this growth.
The role of on offer would require capacity to run junior group and private lessons and adult group and private lessons. When coaching you will bring passion to every lesson and show determination to teach every student to perform to the best of their capability. You should have a commitment to working with the club over the long term to create a large tournament player contingent and loyal adult community.
Essential
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Demonstrated tennis coaching skills in a group and individual setting
