This Saturday 20th August the AFL Premier Division Reserves will seek to cap off a remarkable finals series with victory in the Grand Final v East Coast Eagles.
After finishing the home and away season in 4th place, the students have had to play 3 sudden death matches in a row, defeating the 5th placed St George 100-56; 3rd placed UNSW-ES 97-56; and most recently the 2nd placed Pennant Hills 81-61.
One more scalp to take.
Uni will be boosted by the announcement of Leigh McWhirter taking out the Sanders Medal for the Best & Fairest Player of the Premier Division Reserves Competition. McWhirter was presented with the award at last night’s Snow/Phelan Medal Dinner, where Uni’s Alex Lee was unlucky not to take out the Phelan Medal for Best & Fairest Player of the Premier Division Seniors, coming second in the placings by 1 vote.
