We are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 University Blues and Golds Awards. Please read the following information carefully to ensure you follow the correct nomination process.
University Blues
A Blue is the highest sporting honour awarded to a Sydney University student-athlete.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be current students of The University of Sydney
- Have achieved exceptional results in their sport during the award period

University Golds
A Gold recognises individuals who have provided outstanding volunteer service to sport at Sydney Uni Sport or a Sydney University sporting club, over a significant period of time.

Key Dates & Information
- Nominations close: Tuesday, 1 September 2026
- Blues Dinner: Friday, 6 November 2026 – The Great Hall, Main Campus
We are aware that the closing date is prior to UniSport Nationals, which forms part of the criteria for many sports. With a short turnaround before the dinner, we require all nominations by the deadline above. If a student would become eligible based on UniSport Nationals results, please submit their nomination now. We will assess eligibility once results are confirmed.
Please note:
- Successful recipients not reliant on Nationals results will be informed during the week commencing 14 September 2026.
- Successful recipients relying on Nationals results will be informed after the event.
