It was another successful weekend for Sydney University Athletics Club at various competitions around the world.

The Sydney University Lions Men’s team have capped off a stellar season, winning the 2018 Australian Water Polo League for the first time since 2005. 

Sydney University broke a 13-year drought when they defeated Fremantle Mariners in a penalty shoot-out to claim the 2018 National Water Polo League men’s title at the Olympic Park Aquatic Centre yesterday.

University picked up another emphatic Shute Shield win, this time defeating the Gordon Highlanders, 87-10.

Sydney University’s women’s and men’s teams have plenty at stake when they contests the National Water Polo League titles at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sydney University have claimed their spot at the top of the NEAFL ladder, following their 13.10(88)-6.19(55) victory over the previously unbeaten Southport Sharks in round four.  

Ash Hewson has announced her retirement from international Rugby Union, following a stellar representative career. 

The Southern Design Sydney Uni Sparks have shaken off their slow start to the season, notching their third consecutive win against the Geelong Supercats.

Sydney University Lions hope to go one better than last season when they enter the finals of the 2017-18 National Men’s and Women’s Water Polo League at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
