Sydney University maintained their unbeaten run in the North-East Australian Football League with a 20-point win over Canberra at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.

The Students are five from five (with a bye) after six rounds and are second, on percentages, to Southport on the NEAFL ladder. Brisbane, Aspley, Gold Coast and Canberra make up the top six.

Sydney University opened the season with a 91-83 result over Canberra and followed that with a 109-73 win over Redland, a 98-83 win over Northern Territory Thunder, an 88-55 result over Southport, a bye, and an 82-62 result over Canberra at the weekend.

They’ll meet fourth-placed Aspley at Graham Road, Carseldine, Brisbane, this Saturday.

Sydney University finished third on the 2017 ladder, with minor premiers Brisbane going on to claim the flag from second-placed Sydney Swans.

Sydney University are also second on the Sydney Men’s Premier League AFL ladder behind the unbeaten North Shore Bombers. The Students are four from six after six rounds, with Pennant Hills, East Coast Eagles, UNSW Eastern Suburbs and Manly-Warringah making up the top six.

Sydney University will host sixth-placed Manly-Warringah at No.1 Oval on Saturday.

Sydney University hold down fifth place on the Sydney Women’s Premier League ladder which is headed by Macquarie University. UNSW-Eastern Suburbs, Auburn-Penrith, Southern Power, the Students and Newtown Breakaways make up the top six.

Sydney University will host third-placed Auburn-Penrith at No.1 Oval this Saturday.
