A late length-of-the-field intercept try from Northern Suburbs winger Zac Holmes allied with a gutsy defensive line across the park saw the visitors earn a rare Premier rugby win at Sydney University No.1 Oval on Friday night.

Sydney University Lions finished the 2011 National Water Polo League with a bronze medal in the men’s competition and a fifth-placed ranking in the women’s league at the end of the five-day finals series played at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

This Friday night Sydney University Blues Asociation invites all Young Blues and Golds from 1995 onwards to watch Sydney Uni v Norths at the Grandstand, No 1 Oval, Sydney University from 6.30pm.
