The Sydney Uni women’s metro league 1 team continued their march towards to the 2012 premiership with a comfortable 3-1 defeat of Gordon in Sunday’s preliminary final.
The minor premiers will now have week off, before taking on either Gordon or Briars in the Sydney Women’s Hockey League grand final in two weeks time. In the other finals fixture, third placed Briars defeated fourth placed Moorebank 2-1 over the weekend to stay alive.
Leading 2-0 at half-time, Sydney Uni battled through the second half to take away a well deserved 3-1 victory and a spot in the grand final.
