Last year Lara Tamsett was the women’s champion of The Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac and this year she is training hard to achieve back to back titles. To spur her on even more, Tamsett has decided to raise funds for the charity the Black Dog Institute.

“As an ambassador for the Black Dog Institute I am committed to raising the profile of this worthy cause that is an educational, research and clinical facility offering specialist expertise in mood disorders. Your support, however great or small, would be tremendously appreciated,” said Tamsett, who is part of the Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Elite Athlete Program.

Tamsett won the Launceston Ten on Sunday morning in a time just over 32mins for the 10km road course.

Lara will make her debut at half marathon in ten days time at the Gold Coast.
