The men’s basketball team are through to the semi finals tomorrow where they will play UTS, after a quarter final victory over NCLE 58-45.

The women’s basketball team had a tough day. After losing one of their stars, Kate Cranney, to an ankle strain yesterday, they breezed through their quarter final against ANU 59-25. They were then beaten by a strong MQE side 50-47. Cranney even managed to come back for the second half and made an immediate impact playing on just one leg. However it wasn’t going to be their day. They now play off for the bronze medal tomorrow against UNSW.

Both futsal sides had two losses today. The men lost 7-6 to UTS and 11-0 to ACPE. The women lost a close one to MQE 7-5 and then 8-4 to UTS. Both teams will play off for lower places tomorrow.

Sydney Uni’s lone golfer is still sitting in fourth after three rounds. He is up against some tough competition with the leader on a handicap of -2!

The lawn bowlers chalked up a couple of wins today. The first team took down UTS 2-1, while the USYD2 side rolled UC 2-1. The teams are getting used to the icy tops of the greens and looking more comfortable as the days go by.

Sydney Uni’s netballers also enjoyed some success today by beating CSU3 22-21. They lost their last game of the day 40-28 against a solid UC side. The girls will play off for a lower placing tomorrow.

The men’s and women’s touch teams will both play their semi finals tomorrow. The men won both games today against ANU2 10-2 and UWS 5-2. The women defeated CSU 7-5 and ANU 4-3. The men will play UC and the women take on ANU again in the semis. The mixed side had their first win today against ANU 6-3.

Sydney Uni’s ultimate Frisbee side will play off for the bronze tomorrow after comprehensive wins over UTS2 15-2 and CSU 15-3.
