Sydney University Rowing Club’s Sarah Cook will be the first of many Sydney Uni students racing in the finals of the World Rowing Championships in Poznan, Poland.
 With eleven rowers in the senior team and eight in the U23s team, Sydney University has an extremely strong representation in Poznan.
 Olympian Sally Kehoe finished second in her semi final of the Women’s Double Scull behind Great Britain.
 Fellow Olympians Francis Hegerty and Matt Ryan won their semi final, qualifying second fastest for their final – again, behind Great Britain in just under one second.
 Bronwen Watson will be hoping to snare a spot in the finals of the Women’s Lightweight Double Scull after he crew finished second in their heat. Her semi will be raced on Friday at 10:13pm EST.
 Men’s Quad Scull semi-final will feature captain of Sydney University Boat Club (SUBC) Nicholas Hudson, after his crew won the repecharge in a strong time of 5:46.93. Their semi will be raced on Friday 10:53pm EST.
 With such a strong representation in the finals Sydney University is sure to bring home a world champion or two.
