A team of Sydney Uni Ultimate Frisbee Club (SUUFC) members are North Shore League (NSL) champions after defeating Black Caviar 18-15 in Monday night’s decider.
The Warriors of Gilgamesh (named for his statue outside the Square) qualified for the final after storming from fifth position on the table in a league widely considered to be the strongest in Sydney.
Highlights from the final included a number of impressive diving catches from Alex Ladomatos and the inspirational speeches delivered by Alex Casella – quite an accomplishment given it is his second language.
