On the 16th and 17th February, a number of Sydney Uni Judo Club members competed in the ACT International Open. The tournament is an International level competition, with each medal placement giving players a strongly sought after international ranking.

Dimitri Giantsos competed in the Senior Boys Under 55kg class and was very successful, taking bronze in the tournament. Daviti Bitsdaze finished a formidable fourth in a pool of ten athletes, in the Junior Boys Under 38kg class. Jordan Min similarly took fourth place out of seven athletes in the Junior Boys Under 30kg category.
