13 Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holders will today officially take part in the 2011 World University Summer Games (WUSG).
This year’s WUSG’s run from August 11-23 in Shenzhen, China.
The following Sydney University EAP scholarship holders will be competing: James Nipperess, James Nipperess, Lachlan Renshaw, Anneliese Rubie (athletics), Katie-Rae Ebzery (basketball), Alexander Wong (cycling), Nicholas Davies (fencing), Prashanth Sellathurai (artistic gymnastics), Alexandra South (sailing), Alicia Brightwell, Georgia Clarke, Keesja Gofers, Lachlan Hollis, Scott Nicholson (waterpolo).
Lachalan Renshaw (athletics) has been named captain of his sporting squad.
Lea Barta (captain – women’s waterpolo) and Alex Rogers (volleyball) are Sydney University athletes competing at the WUSG’s, but are not scholarship holders.
