Sydney University Fencing Club’s Margarita Sokolovskaja has won Open Women’s Foil gold at the Australia Fencing Federation Western Australia International Fencing Tournament and the Australian Club Teams Championships in Perth over the weekend.
The club also had a number of other impressive individual and team performances, including Cai Wei-Ting – Open Men’s Foil (bronze), Patrick Daley – Open Men’s Foil (8th), Anna Kovacs – Open Women’s Foil (10th), Grace MacAlpine – Open Women’s Epee (10th) and Simon Capon, Patrick Daley, Samuel Mooney-Grant, Cai Wei-Ting) – Men’s Foil Teams (silver).
