CSNA/Sydney Uni has broken into the top four of the Netball NSW State League Division 1 Waratah Cup competition after their round 9 demolition of Newcastle.

CSNA/Sydney Uni’s 49-27 victory over Newcastle sees them sit in fourth place on the ladder with five wins, one draw and three losses.

The victory also saw senior team debuts given to Division 5 representatives Kailah Elliott and Maddie McCathy.

“Congratulations and well done to Kailah and Maddie,” said CSNA/Sydney Uni Netball Club (SUNC) Operations Manager, Sam Dawes. “This is a huge effort and a culmination of many up’s and downs, but when the opportunity knocked both girls stepped up and have been rewarded.”

With just five rounds left before the finals, CSNA/Sydney Uni is in a good position to solidify a top four finals spot.

The club is also sitting in the top four across all three of the other State League divisions that they compete in – fourth in Division 4, first in Division 5 and third in Division 7.

Dawes was thrilled with this achievement, saying “Well done to all the athletes, coaches, officials and staff on their continued support of our Elite Development Program (EDS). It’s been a team effort.”
