Sydney Uni Boat Club has concluded its national regatta campaign at Lake Barrington in Tasmania, recording a total of 20 podium finishes across the week of racing.

The results included 9 golds, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals, achieved across a range of boat classes and categories. Sydney Uni crews competed in Open events as well as Under-23, Under-21 and Under-19 divisions, with podium finishes spanning singles, pairs, quads and eights. Results were recorded across both sculling boats (two oars per athlete) and sweep boats (one oar per athlete), reflecting a balanced performance across the full program.

Several podium finishes were achieved in composite crews, where Sydney Uni athletes combined with rowers from other clubs. This is a standard feature of national-level regattas and typically reflects selection into competitive line-ups based on performance leading into the event. In addition to medal results, 18 Sydney Uni athletes were selected to represent their respective states at the Interstate Regatta. This regatta is held as part of the Australian Rowing Championships and is one of the key representative events on the domestic calendar, with athletes selected based on performance at lead-in competitions such as Lake Barrington.

The Lake Barrington Regatta forms part of the peak period of the Australian rowing season, bringing together leading university and club programs from across the country in a full week of competition.

These results mark the conclusion of Sydney Uni Boat Club’s national regatta campaign for the season, with a number of athletes progressing into Interstate competition in the upcoming weeks.
