Following on from a series of Metro South East (MetSEA) development camps, five Sydney Uni Swimmers represented the MetSEA area at a NSW Swimming Development meet on 4th October 2009.  More than 100 clubs from NSW and ACT were represented on the day.

Metro South East finished 2nd in the overall point scores.

Angelique Barrett was Sydney Uni’s outstanding performer finishing the meet with a gold and silver medal in the 10 years age group. Angelique swam 34.81 in the 50m butterfly to win gold and 33.48 to claim silver in the 50m freestyle.


Angelique also swam personal best times in the 50m breaststroke (12th 47.22) and 50m backstroke (17th 41.15) to finish just outside the finals.


Molly McGrath swam in the 9 years and finished the meet with 4 personal best times.

Lauren McDougall also swam in the 9 years and ended with some great results, especially in the butterfly.

Milo Ellicott swam strongly in the 12 years finishing with personal best times.

Emma Donovan swam in the 11 years, competing well in five events.
