The Sydney Uni Netball Club (SUNC) has announced the signing of 68 test veteran Mo’onia Gerrard as the clubs new Elite Development Squad (EDS) Coach for 2014.

Over the past few months SUNC has been working hard to progress the clubs High Performance program through the Elite Development Squad (EDS) scholarship program.

Gerard is arguably Australia’s most recognisable netballer. She has competed at the highest level, achieving 68 test caps for Australia and two World Championship victories. Gerard has a very strong history with CSNA/Sydney Uni and has been extremely impressed with the program the club is currently running.

SUNC believes that with this appointment the club will be able to restore CSNA/Sydney Uni back to the Waratah Cup division, where it belongs.

There have been a number of strategic programming changes this season to ensure that SUNC is on track to support and create a stronger scholarship program with committed athletes. The club foresee this becoming a new phase in SUNC’s future.
