SU Velo’s race program got off to the best
possible start with two from two wins in the heavily contested Cervelo Masters
Super Series staged over the June long weekend.
At a near freezing Penrith
International Regatta Centre, Club Captain, Nic Martin, supported by team
members Lex Feltham, Barry Doosey and Melissa Neumaier, out sprinted the field
to win comfortably.
In the following race, Glenn McIntosh won C grade by a tyre
width mastering a difficult course and accident plagued race.
“We are really at this early stage focussed
on developing riders and then building results”, said Director Sportif, Baz
Doosey.
“So to gain wins in the two races entered was a very, very pleasing
result particularly with 50 or more riders in each field. Sydney Uni has
quickly become a hot topic in the peleton”.
