Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) has progressed to the Premier Rugby 7s Finals to be held on Thursday night at Foreshaw Rugby Park.
Sydney University will take on Penrith at 6pm in the first semi-final, while Warringah take on Southern Districts in tonight’s other semi-final at 6.20pm. The final will take place at 9.40pm.
A clinical Sydney University side set up their tournament with an early win over the host team Southern Districts 21-7. They maintained the pressure throughout the Pool round to remain undefeated. Southern Districts turned in two strong performances following their early loss, accounting for Easts and Randwick.
In the women’s tournament, Sydney University have missed out on the semi-finals after being defeated by Rockdale 35-0 and then drawing 14-14 with the same team.
