Sydney University Australian National Football Club is in line for two titles when they contest the Premier Division and Division One Grand Finals at Blacktown International Sportspark this Saturday.

Sydney University will meet Pennant Hills in the 2017 Premier Division decider, while the Division One side will meet St George Dragons for the flag.

The Students’ Premier Division side finished the season proper as minor premiers, six points clear of UNSW Eastern Suburbs.

They enjoyed a week off while Easts, North Shore, St George and Pennant Hills battled out the elimination finals.

Sydney University then powered into the grand final with an 81-27 win over North Shore in their semi-final and had another week’s respite while Pennant Hills and North Shore battled out the preliminary final.

The Division One side finished third on the competition ladder behind St George and Pennant Hills. They defeated Pennant Hills 61-21 in a low-scoring elimination final, and earned a grand final berth with a nail-biting 61-59 semi-final win over St George.

The Division One Grand Final will kick off at 12.15pm followed by the Premier Division Grand Final at 3pm.

Meanwhile, Sydney University’s women’s Premier Division side lost their Grand Final 81-19 to UNSW-Eastern Suburbs Stingrays at Blacktown International Sportspark on Sunday.

Sydney University Bombers headed the Stingrays for the minor premiership but lost their major semi-final to them before earning a Grand Final berth with a win over Macquarie University in the preliminary final.
