This Saturday all four Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) grades will battle for spots in the Shute Shield Grand Final on Sydney University Oval No. 1.

“Hopefully all of our grade sides can provide the energy and momentum in the day as a build up to the 1st grade fixture against Southern Districts,” said Head Coach Chris Malone.

1st grade will play the grand final replay from 2012 against Southern Districts, and with both teams having high hopes of reaching the decider again this year it’s going to be a huge contest.

“Souths have been very consistent all year, and showed just how dangerous they can be last weekend against Randwick. We will have to work hard to contain them and it will be a semi-final not to be missed.”

Centre Tom Carter will make his 150th 1st Grade appearance for the club on Saturday.

All three colts teams will play their grand finals this weekend at Forshaw Rugby Park, Sylvania Waters.
