Test Cricketer Stuart Clark will spearhead Sydney Uni’s pace attack in this weekend’s First Grade semi final against Penrith.

Clark, returning from an elbow injury which has kept him out of the Australian Test team, will join NSW Sheffield Shield team mates Greg Mail and Ed Cowan.

Last week against Sydney Cricket Club, Clark snared 3-35 and Mail paired up with Cowan in the highest partnership of the match with 67 runs. Cowan batted on to score a quick-fire 79 runs.

Clark will be hoping to continue his great form with the ball this weekend at Sydney University’s home ground, No. 1 oval.

Both Second and Third Grade progressed through to the semi finals. Second Grade will take on Manly in a bid to repeat last season’s premiership winning form. Our Third Grade team hopes the fine form of Dave Jessep, who scored a ton last week, and Nigel Cowell, who captured 5-48, continues.

The games will take place this Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March, with play beginning at 10.30am.

Sydney University Cricket Club finished second in the Sydney Smith Cup for the Club Championship, finishing a mere 13 points behind Penrith.
