Former Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Murray Stewart has won gold at the final kayak world cup of the season in Moscow to continue his strong preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Stewart took out the gold medal in the men’s K1 500m, as well as silver in the men’s K1 1000m and K4 1000m.
He also finished seventh in the men’s K1 200m.
Stewart is eligible to compete in up to four events at the London Olympics.
