Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Sarah Stewart has been selected in the Australian women’s wheelchair basketball team that will do battle at the official London Paralympic qualifying tournament next month, the Asia Oceania Zone Championship.
The Asia Oceania Zone Championship, this year held in Goyang, South Korea will run from 4-11 November, with two London Games spots on up for grabs.
The Gliders are the reigning Asia Oceania Zone Champions, following wins at the 2009 championship.
Stewart, who is currently completing her PhD (Philosophy), debuted for the Gliders in 2004 and has won medals at each of her Olympic Games (silver in 2004 and bronze in 2008).
