Universities U-17 Brewer Shield side maintained their remarkable winning streak when they took out the 2015-16 Twenty20 final against Northern District at Grahame Thomas Oval on Sunday, March 13.

This is the sixth successive premiership for this team and they are undefeated over the past three years. They win two titles a year.

After winning the toss, Universities sent Northern District in and restricted them to 6-60 off their 20 overs. As expected, the bowling and fielding was of a high standard.

Universities reached their target in just over 13 overs, opener Sarah Turner remaining 26 not out and first drop Olivia Porter notching 25.

The majority of the girls in this team have been together for the three years of extraordinary results, a testament to their own dedication as much as the University’s investment in developing talent.
