The Brydens Sydney Uni Flames Head Coach Shannon Seebohm has confirmed that he will not be returning for the 2016-17 Wattle Valley WNBL season.

At the end of the 2015-16 season, the Brydens SU Flames staff completed a review of their entire operations. It was identified from the review, the Program needed a full time coach which incorporated other aspects of the program. This role was offered to Shannon.

It wasn’t an easy decision and while we would have been keen for him to return, Shannon has made the best decision for himself and his family.

Shannon has accepted a full time role with Basketball NSW.  “I honestly have loved my time as coach of the Flames. I had to make a decision to be able to best support my family at this time.” Seebohm said.

The Brydens SU Flames and SUSF are disappointed to lose Shannon’s services. He has done a great job for the Program over the last two seasons making it to the Finals in his inaugural year of WNBL coaching as well as securing the WNBL Coach of the Year award.

We wish Shannon and his partner Jaimee, and daughter Millah all the best in their future and hope to see them at Flames matches next season.

The Brydens SU Flames will start a search for a new Head Coach immediately.
