World Rowing Championships – Lake Karapiro, New Zealand

Women’s Four: 1. The Netherlands (7min 21.09sec), 2. Australia (Sarah Cook, Sarah Heard, Pauline Frasca and Kate Hornsey – 7: 23.99) 3. United States (7: 24.56).

Men’s Eight: 1. Germany (5:33.84), 2. Great Britain (5:34.46), 3. Australia (William Lockwood, Matthew Ryan, Francis Hegarty, Cameron McKenzie-McHarg, James Marburg, Sam Loch, Nicholas Purnell, Joshua Dunkley-Smith and coxswain Toby Lister – 5:35.96).
