Basketball

Women’s National Basketball League – Round 4

South-East Queensland Stars 97 (Rachel Jarry 27, Ify Ibekwe 17, Lauren Mansfield 16, Nadeen Payne 15, Danesha Stallworth 13) defeated Sydney Uni Flames 89 (Carolyn Swords 25, Alex Wilson 18, Joslyn Tinkle 15, Katie-Rae Ebzery 13) at Logan Metro Sports Centre on Friday.

Round 5: Sydney Uni Flames versus Canberra Capitals at Brydens Stadium, Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre, on Friday, November 6, with a 7pm tip-off.

 

Cricket

Sydney Men’s Twenty20 Cup competition ­- Preliminary Finals

Sydney University 3-122 off 20 overs (Ryan Carters 31, Liam Robertson 28, Nick Larkin 26, Tim Ley 24 not out; Tom Felton 1-4, Joshua Poysden 1-21) defeated Northern District 9-81 off 20 overs (Clayton Waters 23, Daniel Hughes 22; Ben Joy 3-20, Will
Somerville 2-15, Nigel Cowell 2-20, Tim Ley 1-10) by 41 runs at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Randwick-Petersham 7-146 defeated Manly-Warringah 6-134 by 12 runs at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Final: Sydney University versus Randwick-Petersham at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday evening was washed out and rescheduled to be played at Coogee Oval on Sunday, November 29, with a 2.30pm start.
