Winger Greg Jedoulev scored three of Sydney University’s 11 tries in their 71-24 win over Penrith at Sydney University No.1 Oval on Saturday.

The elusive speedster also made a number of telling breaks that led to tries as the Students consolidated their position on the ladder.

After 14 rounds Eastwood still hold sway on 58 points, with Sydney University breathing down their neck on 55 points, and Southern Districts (52), Manly (46), West Harbour (46) and Eastern Suburbs (36) making up the top six.

But Sydney University leads the way on the Club Championship ladder, with the clean sweep round taking them to 2566 points, ahead of Eastwood on 2299 points.

The Students meet North Sydney at North Sydney Oval on Saturday, with the home run including Southern Districts (University Oval on August 3), Gordon (University Oval on August 10) and Randwick (Coogee Oval on August 17). The qualifying finals start of August 24.
