Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness’ own personal trainer and boot camp instructor Jeremy Roff has won the Blackmore’s Bridge Run over the weekend.

With an impressive time of 28 minutes and 7 seconds, Jeremy took out the men’s race ahead of Thomas Do Canto and Mitchell Williamson who were only seconds behind.

The Bridge Run is a 9 kilometre track commencing in Milson’s point and finishing at the Sydney Opera House and the Conservatorium of Music. Jeremy was one of 16,000 entrants in the Bridge Run.

After winning the race Jeremy, who is a part of The Sydney Running Academy spoke about his motivations for competing. “I wanted to use the race as a stepping stone for the upcoming track season. My training has been going well and I needed a difficult race to reinforce my fitness level” he said.

Jeremy will look to build on his fantastic performance over the weekend by competing in the upcoming Noosa Bolt 5km road race before commencing the track season in November. He will compete in a variety of distances, with his main event being the 1500 metres.

The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is in its 14th year and is a great day, celebrating health and fitness in the community while raising much needed funds for charities such as Lifeline and the McGrath Foundation.
