SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holders Jasmine Rafiq and Michael Basckin have been selected for the 2014 World University Karate Championships.
Rafiq (Bachelor of Pharmacy) and Basckin (Bachelor of International & Global Studies) are also both University of Sydney students.
They were officially nominated by Australian University Sport (AUS) and Australian Karate Federation to represent Australia at the 2014 World University Karate Championships to be held in Bar, Montenegro from 19 – 22 June 2014.
The 2014 World University Karate Championships is a part of the high performance pathway within Australian University Sport and Australian Karate Federation programs.
It is an elite level event held every odd year under the auspices of the International University Sport Federation (FISU) and run to the highest standards involving International athletes.
