With only one round of the regular season to play Sydney University Men’s Premier League hockey team is assured of a place in the final series.

This is the second time in three years that the University’s Premier League Men’s team has made the playoff rounds and is a testimony to the ongoing development of the squad.

Sydney University will finish in 6th place, with the competition being especially competitive this year. Whilst the top two teams of Norwest Strikers and Moorebank Liverpool are the competition front runners, the points difference between places 3rd to 6th is very tight.

Uni are likely to face Norwest Strikers in the first round of the playoffs. Whilst on face value this might appear daunting, the Uni boys will go into this game knowing that they have either led or been level on the score board and only surrendering the lead towards the end of the second half during the two round games against Norwest.

Being able to play the competition leaders in the playoffs is a privilege and a wonderful opportunity for this truly talented side.

2015 has been a strong year for the entire Men’s club, with 2nd grade, 4th grade and 7th grade all qualifying for the finals series in their respective divisions.

We wish all the Men’s grades the best of luck in their final games and Up the Students!
