Sydney University accounted for another in-form highly placed Shute Shield title contender on Saturday by drubbing West Harbour 41-3 at Sydney Uni Oval No.1.

The Students notched six tries in a show of strength against the Pirates, who had moved into third place on the ladder before Saturday.

In recent times Uni have had convincing wins over Randwick, Southern Districts and Manly, all sides that were showing solid premiership credentials before taking on the Students.

It was a clean sweep for the men’s grade and colts teams on Saturday that leaves Uni atop the Club Championship, while the women’s team had a solid 17-5 win over Rockdale.
