Former Australian Sevens Captain and Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder, Bernard Foley, won the Sevens Player of the Year award last night at the Australian Rugby’s premier awards night in Sydney. 

Sydney University Elite Athlete Program scholarship holders and Boat Club representatives James Goswell, Ed de Carvalho and Henry Mander, along with fellow rower Rob Taylor, raised over $6,000 by completing the 2011 Oxfam Trailwalker last weekend.

Sydney University Elite Athlete Program scholarship holder Sarah Stewart was last week part of the Gliders – Australian women’s wheelchair basketball team – that defeated Germany twice.

After a long preseason working hard on honing their skills, the Lions – Sydney Uni American Football team – kicked off their 2011 campaign with a convincing 71-0 victory over the Penrith Outlaws.
