The NSW Metropolitan Championships were held over the 11th and 12th of July and produced a wonderful weekend of racing for the Sydney Uni Age Group Swim Program. 

The 2015 Winter Kyu grades competition, held at Sydney Olympic Park on the 6th of July, proved to be an exciting and successful event for the Sydney University Judo Club.

After four rounds of the Winter Premiership SUAC lead both the men’s and women’s competitions. In the women’s competition the SUAC ladies lead rivals Athletics Easts by 27 points, in the men’s competition the boys have a 20 point lead over Randwick Botany Harriers.

Sydney University maintained outright fifth place on the North East AFL ladder with a 63-point win over Eastlake at Manuka Oval, Canberra, on Saturday.

While we experience a severe Winter chill our Sydney Uni reps in the Australian Rowing team are certainly not being left out in the cold when it comes to winning medals at the recent World Cup Rowing events in Europe. 

SUAC made their mark in the compact five day athletics competition at the World Cup Stadium in Gwangju, taking two bronze medals and some impressive close shaves.

Sydney University Lions returned to the winner’s circle in Division One with a solid 32-16 victory over University of Canberra Grizzlies in Round 11 of the NSW Tertiary Rugby League clash at Henson Park on Saturday.

Sydney University’s clean sweep of Gordon on Saturday has kept all teams in finals contention and closed the gap in the Club Championship race to 30 points with two competition rounds of the Shute Shield to be played.

Sydney University Football Club has six players in the 31-man Wallabies squad for the opening round of the Rugby Championship against the Springboks at Suncorp Stadium on July 18.
