In an absolute thriller of a game to start the WNBL season, Brydens Sydney Uni Flames have gone down 93-90 to a hot-shooting Perth Lynx side in a game that saw the teams go into every break within two points of each other.

Alice Tarnawski is now a World University Champion sailor as part of the five member Australian crew that took gold in the women’s event at the 8^th World University Sailing Championship held on the Swan River, Perth from September 24-30, 2016. 

It’s been a long eight months since the conclusion of the 2015/16 WNBL season which saw Brydens Sydney Uni Flames finish just one win out of the finals, but the team has recruited strongly and this Friday night  goes up against last season’s runners-up, the Perth Lynx.

Sydney Uni racked up another club double, with both the Cubs (u19) and Lions (Div I) winning their fixtures against the Northern Sydney Rebels at Forrestville Oval last Saturday.

The University of Sydney has launched their 2016 Australian University Games campaign in Perth in spectacular style. The team consisting of 423 athletes across 22 sports is looking to retain the Australian University Sports Overall Champions trophy come Friday.
