In her time at College she collected a number of prestigious awards recognising her talent on the floor; she also surpassed MSU’s records for all time points and rebounds. She is the only player, male or female to have reached 1500 points and 1000 rebounds.

On the back of a phenomenal college career, Carly then signed with Leon Tregor Basket 29, a professional club in France for the 2014 season. Returning to Australia, the 188 centimetre athletic forward has been keeping busy playing in Queensland where her team the Bears have made the QBL finals. She averaged 12.5 points and 9.7 rebounds in the regular season.

Coach Shannon Seebohm was excited at the prospect of Boag joining the side, “Carly is young and athletic and will bring a lot of energy to our team.”

“At 6 foot 2 she will be a versatile member of our roster who can play both inside and outside the key,” Seebohm added.

Boag is extremely excited to be returning back to New South Wales and joining the Flames, “It’s always been a goal of mine to play for the Flames, being able to play professionally for my local side is a fantastic opportunity so I’m looking forward to joining the team!”

Upon concluding her commitments with Bundaberg, Boag will return to Sydney and commence preseason training with the Flames whose first home game is scheduled for Wednesday the 14th of October in a clash against the University of Canberra Capitals at 7:00pm.
