CSNA/Sydney Uni netballer Kirrily Laws has been selected to represent the Sydney Netball Academy’s (SNA) open side at next month’s Academy Games.

Laws, a division four player for CSNA/Sydney Uni in the Netball NSW Dooleys State League, will train with the SNA squad this Thursday night in preparation for the Academy Games which takes place at the Illawarra Academy of Sport from April 11-13.

The 16 year has been part of the 28-player SNA development squad since being named in January. The SNA development squad program focuses on improving and developing player skills. Her selection in the Academy Games playing squad is a fantastic achievement for the wing attack or centre position player.

“Kirrily is still at school, so she is moving along nicely and only in her first season with us,” said Sydney Uni Netball Club Operations Manager, Sam Dawes.

“The club is looking forward to her continuing to grow and develop as she begins the State League season in division four.”

Laws’s SNA team will come up against 10 other NSW based academy of sports representative teams over the three day competition.
