Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Elite Athlete Program scholarship holder Rosalyn Lawrence is a canoe world champion after her stellar performance in the women’s C1 to take gold at the 2011 ICF Wildwater Sprint World Championships last week in Germany.
Lawrence triumphed over Radka Valikova of the Czech Republic by 0.09 seconds to take gold, a win that doubled as Lawrence’s debut in the C1 wild water boat.
Lawrence also finished ninth in the women’s K1.
