Since Sydney University Boat Club (SUBC) was established in 1860 it has been at the forefront of both domestic and international rowing, contributing a multitude of athletes to state and national teams.
SUBC is a club built on the core values of dedication, commitment, passion, and unity. We thrive to instill these qualities in all members of our club to ensure a positive, fun and supportive training environment is achieved.
SUBC encourages athletes of all skill levels to join. There are a number of programs designed to teach and improve participants including:
- Learn to Row program is currently run each year at the beginning of March for several weeks and at the completion of the course participants of the course can join the SUBC Club Rowing Program.
- Club Rowing program offers a more social approach to rowing and training whilst still enabling you to race for SUBC at regattas. This group trains on the water a few times each week and receives coaching from the club as well.
SUBC train out of Glebe Boat Shed and Linley Point most mornings.
