Wesley College
left all others seeing black and blue after their undefeated victories in the
final rounds of the Rawson and Rosebowl basketball competitions last night.

Wesley’s Rawson basketball team captained by crowd favourite, Justin
Bosilkovski, and confident with the talent and flair of former Emu’s captain,
Sean Mullan, def
eated 2007 champions, St. John’s College, 42-25 to seal their
unquestionable reign over the Rawson basketball tournament for 2008.

St. John’s
College, still reeling after their narrow shock loss to St. Paul’s College on
Monday night, walked away in third place overall in the tournament behind
Wesley and St. Paul’s while St. Andrew’s failed to gain any Rawson points with
losses in each round.

Wesley’s
Rosebowl basketball team also swept up their competition with convincing wins
in all rounds of play in the Rosebowl tournament.

With the helpful height and
skills of Sydney Uni Flames player, Kiera Sheils, and the speed and sharp
shooting of international student, Laura Ligget, Wesley’s Rosebowl team snapped
up all seven Rosebowl points on offer for now what is a certain victory of the
overall Rosebowl sports competition for 2008.

St.
Paul’s College lead the charge for the Rawson Cup seven points clear of St.
Andrew’s and Wesley Colleges who are both on 18 points each and St. John’s
College on one point, whilst in the Rosebowl competition, Wesley College are
currently an unbeatable 13 points ahead of St. Andrew’s College who are on 28
points and The Women’s College on 27.5 points. St. John’s College and Sancta
