Former SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Jessica Fox has added another title to her already impressive resume by winning gold at the 2013 Under-23 Canoe Slalom World Championships in Slovakia.
Fox triumphed in the U23 women’s C1 despite two gate touches and another mistake on gate 13, clocking a time of 133.62 to win by nearly three seconds from her nearest competitor.
Fox’s latest medal comes on the back of a strong world cup campaign and nearly a year after winning silver in the women’s K1 at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
