Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder and whitewater kayaker, Jess Fox, will go into this months Olympic Games full of confidence following the successful defence of her world junior slalom title in the United States over the weekend.

Fox, a first year Arts student (MECO French & Spanish), took out home three gold medals at the world junior titles on the Wisconsin River at Wausau.

Her most dominant victory occurred in her Olympic K1 event, but she sparred to mercy on her competitors, also winning the C1 event and the under-23 C1 team event with Australian teammates Ros Lawrence and Alison Borrows (Lawrence is a former EAP scholarship holder and Sydney University Graduate).

Fox leaves for London today, and will start the Games competition as a fringe medal contender at the Lee Valley Whitewater Course in the July 30 heats.
