SUSF Elite Athlete Program member Daniel Forgerty has earnt selection in the 2016 Australian Beach Handball Team set to compete at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Forgerty successfully booked his place in the Men’s team after a strong qualifying performance at the 2016 Australian Beach Handball Championships at Coolangatta Beach on the Gold Coast between February 24-28.
“I have achieved one of my main goals for this year in being selected for the Australian Beach Handball Team and I will find out if I have made the touring squad in April,” said Forgerty.
Studying a Bachelor of Engineering Honours and Bachelor of Project Management at USYD, Fogerty will head to Hungary for the tournament in July, 2016.
