The Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames have hosted their latest junior basketball camp at the Mossvale Basketball Stadium.
Mossvale Basketball Association, who are in their third year as Individual Association player sponsors, had 45 boys and girls (mostly aged between 8-12 years) turn up to be taught by current Flames stars Tayla Roberts and Ellie Manou and former Flames legend Trish Fallon.
“We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with Mossvale Basketball Association, who have been on-going supporters of the Flames program for 3 years,” said Flames Community and Operations Manager Trish Fallon.
“This year’s camp was again a success with great numbers turning up on the day. The participants’ enthusiasm and willingness to learn makes this camp so enjoyable and fun to be a part of. This camp also provides an opportunity to give back to grassroots basketball.”
The camp covered basic fundamental skills, with games and competitions to end the day. All of the participants walked away with a back pack which included a Flames sticker, drink bottle and player cards.
Mossvale Basketball Association will take part in a Flames home game this season, bringing young players to participate in the half time entertainment.
