Sydney Uni Cheer and the Sydney University Movement and Dance Society (MADSOC) had an outstanding showing at the AASCF State competition last weekend at Sydney Olympic Park, returning home with multiple podium finishes and two prestigious Grand Champion titles.
Cheer Results
Sydney Uni Cheer roared to success with standout routines that impressed the judges:
- Lions Blue (Level 1 / 2 AG) – 3rd
- Lions Gold (Level 3 / 4 Co-Ed) – 1st
The Lions Gold team capped off the weekend by being crowned University Cheer Grand Champions, achieving the highest score across all university cheer teams in competition.
Dance Results
Sydney Uni Dance delivered across a range of categories, showcasing both skill and versatility:
- Premier Jazz – 2nd
- Premier Pom – 2nd
- Premier Contemporary – 3rd
- Premier Hip Hop – 5th
- Open Hip Hop – 7th
- Open Jazz – 4th
The premier Jazz team also earned the title of University Dance Grand Champions (2nd Place), reinforcing Sydney Uni’s position as a powerhouse in the university dance scene.
A huge congratulations to both our Sydney Uni Cheer and MADSOC teams. The two Grand Champion titles were the icing on the cake of an already successful weekend, as the teams now turned their attention to the last part of the year.
