This season’s second canoe sprint world cup came to a close in Germany over the week, with former Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Murray Stewart narrowly missing out on two medals.
Stewart, who is eligible to compete in up to four events at the London Olympics, claimed a fourth place finish in the men’s K4 1000m and fifth in the men’s K1 1000m.
The next world cup takes place in Moscow, Russia from 1-3 June 2012.
